Kage Named PD at KQKS/Denver
New PD John E. Kage
LINCOLN FINANCIAL Top 40/Rhythmic KQKS (KS 107.5)/DENVER ups APD/MD JOHN E. KAGE to the PD post. KAGE has been handling programming duties since the departure of former KQKS PD and now KYLD (WiLD 94.9)/SAN FRANCISCO PD CAT COLLINS in OCTOBER 2008. KAGE has been APD/MD at KQKS since 1999.
In a press release, LINCOLN FINANCIAL/DENVER Sr. VP/GM BOB CALL commented, "After an extensive national search for the next KQKS Program Director, we realized the top candidate was right here." CALL added, "JOHN E. KAGE fully understands this market, the staff, all that makes KQKS a special radio station and most importantly, our culture. He’s certainly earned the chance to program this amazing radio station."
KAGE assumes his new duties immediately. About his new gig, KAGE said, "These call letters, this staff and this city mean everything to me. I want to thank BOB CALL and LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA for entrusting me with the future of one of AMERICA's great radio stations, KS 107.5."
